MLB doesn't "sign" anyone... you need to find out when individual teams have open tryouts and attend them or sign up/register for them...

MLB teams send out scouts to go to colleges and baseball fields all around the country, and sometimes, all around the world.

The best chance to get scouted is be very good, and be able to play in college. Eventually, a scout could pick you.

If your not on the college team, its still possible to be scouted, but not a very good chance.

well, if you're really good enough then you should be playing at a high enough level that scouts should come out and see you, usually it will be college scouts but if word gets out that you really are exceptional MLB scouts will show up. if you're that good they will find you. if you feel like you're not getting enough exposure there are always tons of showcases you can go to and workout for scouts and coaches.

Check with the Ringor Baseball Showcase. They can give you exposure to college coaches and major league scouts.

I think if you read enough books about sabermetrics and keep practicing on your playstation, you'll be a shoe in for a contract before you are 18.

Good luck!!!

Having some talent would help. And if you have it they will find you.
