My area (Omaha) station did yesterday, and I gotta tell ya, I'm not excited about it so much. Day after Thanksgiving, fine. November 8, not really.

How about you?

West coast here. Yes, the annual holiday deluge has once more begun. Started on Nov 1st. We do have a local "Christmas music" only radio station, but I can't stand it. It so obviously pimps America's mindless "shop 'til you're bankrupt" mentality that it makes me sick. Between all the uber pious "Jesus is the Reason for the Season" letters to the editor ( Christ was NOT born in December) and the revolving plastic displays, I want to run off somewhere--say to Alaska, if only on my mind. My fictional sweet blue eyed Malamutes and I would be snowed in of course, but we would be all cozy and warm in our little cabin in the far North. With running water, plenty of food, wood for the fireplace, a laptop, and classical music c.d.s, we would avoid corporate "civilization" until the spring thaw. And eat venison and salmon to our hearts content. Merry Christmas, suckers!

One of ours is changing and while they are in transition they are doing 93 days till Christmas. So, we've had Christmas music for a while now. It's over January 1st.

I LOVE IT!! Seriously, christmas is really only 6 weeks away - I don't think its too early at all. And I love christmas. I'm kind of a nut about it though, so you may not want to put much stock in my opinion.

Yea, I have one in my area that has already started with the xmas music. I hate it!! That's all they play! 24 hours a day!! Normally they play a good variety of hit music, now for the next 2 months all it's gonna be is xmas crap...

they've played christmas music (i heard "it's beginning to look a lot like christmas" just yesterday and i thought - no, it doesn't look like christmas), but they should be starting their round-the-clock christmas music devotion pretty soon. to be honest - pretty annoying. i've even spotted some christmas lights already up on buildings, and here in Phoenix, it was in the 90s this week. very strange. nothing like christmas.

I don't care for christmas music at all...It is always too soon for me to hear it...you can play it for me when I'm dead, I'll have plenty of time then.
