I need to settle a little debate with my friend.
She reckons all Americans are ignorant to things that happen outside they're own country. She believes they are so wrapped up in their own news they are unaware of the world around them.
I personally disagree, I think you guys do know who our prime minister is! :)
prove me right! :P

Brown. Your friend is an indoctrinated bigot who is just repeating one of the many insults that the British culture uses against Americans. Brits have been doing it long before I lived in your country and they've taught it to their younger generation, just like in the Middle East. I'm sure your friend thinks it's cute to be bigoted against Americans. That's how she's been raised.

Gordon Brown is the current Prime Minister but the question is, why do I care? He interacts with the President and other leaders, not me.

John Major has been Prime Minister and so has Tony Blair, and so was Margaret Thatcher at one time. Do I care? Nope.

And let's not forget good old Winston Churchill :)

Gordon Brown. But I have to admit that I do get wrapped up in my own news because it's so frightening with this president, the things he's doing affect not only us but many countries, including yours.

Actually most Americans couldn't tell you who the leader of France, Canada, Germany, Mexico or most other nations are. The ones we always seem to know are the leaders of Great Britain and Russia. Simply because we hear their names almost daily in the news.

Most Americans love and respect the British.
