yes, as i know plastic is cheaper than wood, because plastic wainscoting is more thin, and maybe it'll break..
wood wainscoting is more durable

Because wood is stronger and better looking than plastic. If you bang a plastic panel, you could end up replacing it. Costs less to make plastic also.

Yes. Most plastic I have seen looks cheap. It also has a tendency to break or crack easier. Plastic is thin and must usually be glued to the wall to prevent warping.
