He said the Patriots should not only have an asterik but it should be in BOLD that they cheated... Dude it was the first game/first quarter of the game this season...

Why do people continue to say they are cheaters it's not like they got caught in Week 8... Them cheating has nothing to do with them being 9-0 this season... That guy on ESPN deserves to be slapped silly?

Unlike Steroids... With a Camera all you have to do is make sure there not using one... I think Sterioids last for every game... Camera all you have to do is power it off and make sure they are not using it...

So the Patriots got docked a first round draft pick... and 750,000 worth of fines... Isn't that big enough?

Good point. I didn't agree with the asterisk think until your question came up. Now maybe I think they should put an astrisk next to their season for Rodney Harrison's steroid use. WTG!

Everyone affiliated with the Patriots should be branded on the back of the neck with an asterick. I don't mean that figuratively. I'm talking about red hot coals and a branding iron and a cowboy that yells YEE HAH after each player is branded.

sorry dude but it happened, and espn people arent the only ones saying it alot of football fans (not just jets and colts fans) from around the country are saying it and feel the same way, i dont believe it was enough and i also dont believe it was the first time they did it and i have had questions since the tuck rule game so there is more to this than you would care to admit but the pats are knee deep in contraversary and alot of us arent willing to let it go, maybe if the new commish would have handled the tape and note situation better instead of destroying the evidence there wouldent be so many questions right now but all he did was add fuel to the fire, the pats have brought this upon themselves thats the way it is deal with it

Well they did it for longer than just 1 game. That one game is when they got caught. I agree the whole asterisks thing is stupid, but don't think it should be forgotten just because they were penalized and it's over with now.

If that is the case, then why isn't Pete Rose in the baseball HoF?

Forgive...but never forget.

Steroids don't last for every game, that makes no sense. If it did then why would they keep taking it? Wouldn't they just pump up during the off-season then not need it anymore once the season started, hence passing the tests? Duh...

Patriots are hated like most teams that win for too many years, the Yankees, the old Lakers, etc. So the reporters are fueling the fire knowing the public opinion is to pile on the winner.
If the Pats go to the Super Bowl we will be stuck listening to spygate and good versus evil for two weeks!
Ughh!

The answer is Marcellus Wiley. He was the one on sportscenter this moring during the Coors cold hard facts segment. He is just jealous because he never won a thing in his career. What a joker. ESPN loves digging up nobodys to be their "experts."

So starting out the first game cheating is a good thing? Should they have waited a game or two? Cheating is cheating, no matter when it happened. ***************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************there's an asterik for every time the Pats havent been caught in the last few years. They are an embarassment to the NFL.

Green Bay last year notified the Commish last year on the same issue. If true, how long has it been going on? You already got away with the 'TUCK' that got you one SB ring.

There are lots of morons on ESPN. I think you have to prove that you are a moron to get hired by ESPN.

The Pats are cheaters.
They are also whiners.
Not using the camera? Does anyone believe that? Of course not.
They are still cheating, and should be stripped of every SB win.
