Post-1990 non-supernatural horror movies you might like: * Dog Soldiers (2002) * Copycat (1995) * Anatomie (2000) (This is a German Language film) * Urban Legend (1998) * Haute Tension (2004) (This is a French Language film) * The Nameless (1999) (This is a Spanish Language film) * Dead End (2003) * Captivity (2007) * The Cottage (2008) (This is a comedy/slasher) It's also worthwhile checking out some pre-1990 horror films such as: * Les Yeux Sans Visage (Eyes Without a Face) (1960) (French) * Spoorloos (The Vanishing) (1988) (Dutch) Hope this is helpful :-)

Oh it has to be Session 9. Hands down. It's a not very well known movie but it has a lot of layers. It has a thriller sense with a horror movie feel. The movie takes place in an actual abandoned insane asylum, where a group of guys are called in to renovate it. Well you can guess what happens but its not what you think. Try it out. You should be able to find it in any Blockbuster.
A close second is Se7en. Though I can't say that its a horror film. It has the gore and body count of one but the sense of a thriller. Another fave of mine.
:-)

The Sixth Sense. Very dramatic, good twist ending, and plenty of scares.
