JJ determined q/m (charge to mass ratio) of cathode rays (i.e. electrons) and that the Edison effect is due to electrons. He also began the analysis which is now mass spectroscopy.

Ernest showed radiation from Uranium was complex: it consisted of alpha particles and beta rays. And also showed every radioactive process is a transmutation of elements.

And Robert established the law of multiple proportions for electric charges and made the first precise determination of the charge of an electron (his famous oil drop experiment).
