the price's always go up before the holidays or major traveling events like summer, look at the trends, goes up in nov/dec/then down injan-march,then a small rise in april, then a big rise from may to august, then back down again,BUT notice how each time it goes up,when it drops,it drops only a little, enough for people to think its dropped to a good level.look at the oil prices in actober, thier was a point that it was in the low 80's and prices stayed the same at around 2.80's in my state, yet when in the summer the price was in the low to middle 70's the price was around 3.80's,.........dont belive thius whole dollar has dropped crap the gov is feeding you,yes the dollar has dropped, and yes we are turning into a second world country, losing our dollar value, and turning our country into something very very bad,but thats another topic.

Anyone that tells you its about supply and demand is lying or misinformed, this is always the excuse but never the true reason. Yes, Americans use alot of gas/oil and our demand is always high, this never changes. But with all the BS in the middle-east and our failure as a country to drill and refine ourselves, we will never be free of this sorry excuse for high prices. The owners of this country, corporations, can make any excuse they want for high prices, no matter how untrue they are. Americans have no power against this administration and the corporate capitalist pigs they protect. There is a conspiracy, and its been in full force for a longtime now and its goal is to make you and me poor, and them rich, simple but true. Fear and consumption make for great profits. Remember when gas was $1.75 or so and then we said, "thats pretty high"? Well its now $3.15 here in Wisconsin and the whole idea here is to get us use to paying these prices so when it never goes down again it will be less of a shock to us. Look at how gas prices have steadily rose yet have never steadily dropped significantly. When the price of gas no longer surprises us we start to accept it but do nothing. When people start getting killed in this country over gas then maybe politicians will do something, but really even then I dont see them doing anything for us. When was the last time a politician did something positive for the people? Its all about the money and nothing about supply and demand. We will soon see the real misery in this country for allowing the elite to sell our country out. Vote Ron Paul, or vote independent. This will be our only hope in winning the war against the real evil.

There's no reason for gas prices to be so high. We had a one day Boycott on buying gas in here. With the millions of people in Yahoo answers it should have put two companies out of businesses. Maybe we better do a two day Boycott? lol.

the dollar went down, oil is priced in dollars. the rest of the world saw the change in figures (not value) and altered their prices.

Oil is not unlimited. It keeps going bye bye little by little but the demand keeps going up.
