There is no evidence that magnetic fields have any effect on the body one way or the other. The magnetic bracelets etc are promoted with testamonials....what passes for "proof" in the wacky world of AltMed.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) generates magnetic fields 100's or thousands of times larger than anything you will be exposed to by some silly bracelet you paid too much money for, and there is no scientific evidence they cause any physiological change, though obviously they are extremely useful in diagnosis.

There have been some very interesting scientific studies in the last few years about the efffects of electomagnetic stimulation of certain parts of the brain. It is possible to induce the phenomena of "out of body" experience or even the feeling of "connection with god", simply by stimulating the temporal lobes. These are the same parts of the brain that are involved in most epileptic seizures, and the hallucination of trancendence is common in a lot of famous epileptics, such as Joan of Arc, and the "Apostle" Paul.
