I'm 28 weeks and 2 days pregnant, with all of this cold weather I am dying for a cappuccino and I was just wondering can you drink cappuccino while pregnant?

Yes, you can. Just watch the rest of your caffeine intake for the day. March of Dimes says 2 8 ounce coffees a day is okay, others say 3 (I drank 1-3 a day depending on how tired I was).
1 shot of espresso has the same caffeine as 1 cup of coffee. So just be cognizant of that, and enjoy your cappuccino!

Your caffeine intake shouldn't exceed 300mg per day. That's actually a lot, and is more than what's in one cup of coffee! You can certainly drink cappuccino, just beware of the extra sugar and fat that it contains. Some retailers have nutritional information posted on their websites, so check it out for caffeine and nutrition info...Starbucks' website has a very comprehensive listing of nutrition on just about every product they sell. Just about every other place will give you the information at your request, or a number you can call to get it. I've been enjoying the occasional cappuccino as well, now that the cold Ohio weather has moved in. Good luck and congrats!

Edit: also, beware of products labeled "Decaf" - they are usually NOT completely caffeine-free. They generally have much less caffeine than their caffeinated counterparts, but it's still a significant amount.

Yes. You should cut back o caffeine while pregnant, but an occasional cappuccino is fine. My doctor told me that an occasional soda or a cup of coffee a day was fine.

yes, moderate amounts of cafeine won't hurt you, and espresso has less cafeine than some regular coffee because of the way its brewed.

If you are concerned about your cafeine intake, ask if they have decaf. beans (but most people don't know this, even decaf has some cafeine in it!) other wise, just ask the barista if they make their cappuccino with a double or single shot (a single shot will have less cafeine)

And what I said is only true for the cap's made in coffehouses, ie: not the "french vanilla cap's" from Tim Hortons, or Dunkin Donuts, if its made with that milky/coffee powder, I don't Know...

Yes. I drink one maybe once a week - as long as you limit your caffeine take and not have a cap, a soda (w/ caffeine) or other products that contain caffeine all in one day you're OK

Caffeine is fine in smaller amounts. Couple cups of coffee, a regular soft drink, etc. All are ok. Just not a whole pot of coffee!

You can you just have to watch your caffeine intake. I had one a few days ago (24 weeks 5days) and just watch out. My little guy went super active it was like he was just bouncing around like crazy and that was with half of a 16oz capp. But yeah you can have one it won't hurt anything.

In the end it is up to you, but you might want to do some research. Some studies have linked caffeine with ADHD and other disorders.

cappuccinos are not bad. Don't go for the expressos or anything though. They are VERY full of caffiene. Not that you can't have caffiene once in awhile but I remember I got an expresso, not thinking, and started shaking from all the caffiene.
