Is this something we should expect from the liberal media?

I ask this question because it appears that there seems to be some kind of effort to paint a bad image on the white male.

Good Question, The white male and Jewish male it seems have no protection if a woman doesn't like them, and for no other reason may cry sexual harassment and cry a little more and get a man fired from his employment and maybe even from further employment by hollering rape. Didn't that happen with a whole sports team?
Liberalism supports it, so it must be right. The same goes for any crime against everyone, except our white guys and Jewish guys too!
Where does affirmative action fit in for them?
I am a woman who sees this, why don't others? Oh yeah, not the liberal thing to do is it?
Should color or gender be an issue at all?

Lots of interesting arguments here. If some of you have not noticed there does seem to be a certain amount of prejudice against White Men. Certainly on the news and TV. Doubt those are true examples of how a lot of people feel though?
I come from Irish stock and there has been a lot of abuse of the Irish by English, so those who say "white men" were never discriminated against are wrong. The Irish were often used to build things that were dangerous because it was cheaper to lose an Irishman then a slave.
Recently a College was forcing students to answer questions about their history pointing at how evil White people are in general.
Things to think on.

Any minority can get painted with negative stereotypes or discriminated against. At a bit under 30% of the US population, you are talking about a minority. There are, of course, laws to protect minorities, but many of them were written with the mistaken assumption that the demographic in question would always constitute a majority (when in fact, women have always been the majority).

In fact, some laws and policies are so poorly concieved that they actually mandate such discrimination.

It may seem that way but that is not the intention. The intention is to make everything more representative of the overall population. Diversity is actually a good thing. But it can be difficult at first because it can be a big change. It takes time.

There are problems definitely but that's where we all come in.

Basically we have become the most discriminated against group on earth and we have the least amount of law suits, lobbyists or protests of any groups.
It has been getting this way since the 70s with affirmative discrimination.

I was there and remember when it started and I am still here.

Discrimination is wrong even if it is meant for good purposes.
Remember that old saying about the path to hell being paved with good intentions.

Nothing. Events over the past few decades have resulted in white heterosexual males having to relinquish some of their monopoly on power and even, to a small extent, wealth to other citizens of the United States such as women and minorities. Many of them don’t like it and they’re getting a little paranoid.

The possibility of a woman or minority as president is unprecedented and very scary to some of them and they’re now describing themselves as victims of the society that they have dominated since its inception.

Nothing at all. Many "white heterosexual males" are good friends of mine. We constantly display a deep, mutual respect for one another and we agree to disagree at times on various issues.

You may be feeling what some blacks feel as in seeing a barrage of negative connotations associated with INDIVIDUALS who happen to be black and then some in society using these images to validate some level of bigotry. If this is the basis of your reasoning I disagree with you in the sense that at least there are many POSITIVE images of white males being displayed to offset any negative ones.

(There are many levels of prejudice. Some people are very prejudice. Some are slightly. It is how you allow your prejudice to affect your behavior that is more important)

No way bigot. have been there thousands of Whites in this usa enslaved and lynched? Yeah, ... i did no longer think of so. *YAWN*. Black human beings won't be in a position to touch what Whites did to them in this so-spoke of as "Christian usa" pffft.

What on earth are you talking about? Most liberals are gay tolerant, this does not mean they are against white heterosexuals, because they are dominant in society and culture, merely that they support gays.

You're right. The white heterosexual male has lost all power and rights in America. It's just tragic how oppressed they are now.

Also, keep in mind that whatever group you mention will always have "some people" who have something against them.
