I think you have a great point. I suppose we don't often think we will fail. LOL! But, you know, if I did always think of the consequences I don't think I would have traveled, done, loved, or lived as much as I have so far. On the other hand, I need to think of them more often. I love it when the questions make me think.

I do think about the consequences and I always try to be prepared for the worst, but sometimes the consequences are just not enough to stop you from doing something!!

That could be it, but that's not a solution and it won't make problems go away. I think one of the most important thoughts a person should have should always be the consequences of their actions. Look at all the young teen mothers who get pregnant (who are not ready for a baby but had unprotected sex anyway) or people who go crazy and kill people. Always think before doing.

I use to know when I was messing up but either never thought I'd get caught or that the consequences didn't apply to me.

I guess so. Sometimes people do think about the consequences but still go right ahead with it.

no I think that in most cases we live in a society that values instant gratification as opposed to long term outcome, and as such most people dont bother to see variables from the action that they intend to take. Just having done what I have for the past 14 years has made me step back a bit and as morbid as it sounds it guarantees me job security.

I think some ppl think about them, but usually ppl DONT think of the consequences before hand.
