Actually the answer seems to be B. Volcanoes. At least the Terrestrial variety. Not the undersea.

Boing water only changes the form of water from liquid to gas. It does not break down the water into its elements.

There is water in car exhaust, but it would be seriously insignificant.

I never forget it. And there is only one of the choices that represents an external source of oxygen (external relative to the atmosphere). It is the same source that is responsible for essentially all of the oxygen in the atmosphere. Migration from inside the earth.

Oddly enough, boiling water sort of fits because water vapour and carbon dioxide are the two principle oxygen-bearing gaseous components associated with (resulting from)volcanic activity.
