I work as a remote agent from home for a real company. I had to work in the office before being allowed to move cross country and keep my job though. I dont know of any that just hire you and let you work from home straight away.

I only order on line if they take a credit card (not debit). If I don't get the products or get defective products. I dispute it with the credit card company, and they do all the work. If the seller doesn't respond, you get a credit automatically. You can also check the BBB....But, If I had to ask this question, I'd find another seller.

If it's a limited company (in the UK) it will be registered at Companys House and you can check here: http://www.companieshouse.gov.uk/toolsToHelp/findCompanyInfo.shtml

However, the best bet for info would be to search on Google for it, as already mentioned.

There was a huge (book) publication called "Kompass" - known as the Authority on British Industry. Now available on the web. Just ask Google or Yahoo for "Kompass"

You can find out through Companies House. I am sure they will have a website, I think it is a government body so it might be companieshouse.gov.uk.

What is their website?

Where are their offices located?

Can you contact them by phone?

Do they have a secure website? When you go to order, look at the address bar. Do you see "https" instead of "http"?
