my computer was cleared of everything and redone but i have no sound. i did all i could but still no sound.

Most common problem there is after a reinstall of Windows.
The Windows CD used to repair the computer did not have the drivers for the sound card on it.
Go to the web site of the PC's maker and look in their Support or Download section. Look up your PC model. They should have an audio driver available for it. Once you install the driver you will have sound again.

You need to download drivers for audio.
Specify what laptop computer or sound card you have as well as OS.

install your sound card drivers. Did you repair it yourself or did you pay a professional to repair it? If you payed someone, they should have known to install the drivers.
