Open a command prompt window.

type nslookup

type the following to get the name server(NS) records you are looking for.

You must also remember that alot of domains block queries such as this.

Theres some various suggestions here but the actual correct way to view the name servers and IP addresses of a given domain on the World Wide Web is to use the NSLOOKUP command.

You willl open a command prompt, and type NSLOOKUP and hit enter.

Then type the following; set type=NS and hit enter.

The "set type" command sets the type of query to the nameserver, and the NS of course sets the query to show output on Name Servers.

Once you've set the "type" to "NS", then simply type the domain name and hit enter. The name servers along with their associated IP's will be displayed.

From the command prompt:
Ping by name will give you the ip.
nslookup by ip will give you a server which will hopefully have part of the name in there, but not always. These are the only ways i know to do what I think you want to do.

Use nslookup followed by the domain name, or a server name like www.the.domain.
