I am a mother of two teens and a 21 year old all living at home. I also have a 19 month old grandson. What medicines should I keep stocked in my medicine cabinet? I have small first aid kit.... so that answer is irrelvant to my question.
Thanks in advance for your answers.

I always kept my kids on vitamins so they were never sick growing up. Now that they are older they seem to get sick. They are always babies again when they are sick too. Over the counter meds also changed so much since my kids were small, so I have to ask.

Cough syrup, tylenol pills and tylenol liquid specifically for the grandbaby, nyquil, benadryl, some sort of pepto sort of thing, and triple antibiotic ointment because that stuff will cure anything from diaper rash, chapped hands to general boo boos.

The other stuff should kinda cover your bases for most anything else, especially now that they are recommending avoiding cold remedies for toddlers. Oh with that in mind, maybe get some Vicks to help with the little one's possible congestion.

Neosporin is by far the most important OTC item for your medicine cabinet. Use it liberally for every cut and scrape and you won't have to worry about infections! I suggest a homeopathic eye drop solution as well as one for ears (I think it's called Similiac) as these will prevent small infections from getting worse. I always keep Ricola or similar drops on hand for the occasional sore throat. I also keep zinc spray on hand as if you use at the very beginning of a cold, it will reduce the symptoms. Most of what I mentioned is at the health food store. I guarantee you will have fewer trips to the doctor esp for the baby!
