I've done the same which is really sad it had to come down to that. I saw the top contributor have her account thrown out of court so this right there tells you something. Nobody is safe. I'm not going to let some goofy person who has nothing better to do take away what I've worked so hard for.

Up until today, I really did not know what a "troll" was until Enchantress provided a link. Thank you, Enchantress. I am still quite new to as to how Answers works and I am discovering new things everyday. Now that this has been called to my attention (Thank you, Beautiful), it seems that I have been "trolled" so to speak. However, what if this "troll" has some valid points to ponder? And as I look back on my reactions, I guess I may exhibited "troll" behavior by challenging him with questions after picking apart the various issues/situations that this person had brought up.
Unfortunately, in this media, there will be "trolls" of many faces. Some who are just trouble makers, some with a cause and some who have nothing better to do than exhibit what level of intelligence they have. (Edit) I have also noticed "trolls" with the intention of some sort of con-game. I see it in the credit section all the time. I am sure other areas are plagued as well.
I really do not have many in my contacts section. Most have invited me and before accepting, I did look at their profiles and their questions/answers. Each one I have accepted, I find interesting and humorous or just have something in their character and/or work/life experience that I can learn from to enhance my character and/or life.
Edit******I guess what it all boils down to is the human element here. Yahoos lack of this element within their customer service. I guess because of the enormity of this arena, the human element is replaced with robots. What is the answer? With most huge conglomerates it is outsourcing this function to foreign countries? Why? It all comes back to the almighty greenback...the dollar bill.
Edit****I have made my questions and answers profile private now. Thank you for bringing up this issue, Jay Sexy. I guess in reality, the human element is our responsibility and ignorance is not an excuse.

I never thought to do this. So I don't know if there is anyone like that on my list. I don't think so though. But no matter what you do, there will always be people who need to make it negative for others whether they are on your lists or not.
I had to look up "trolls" to even find out what they were, so for the newer ones, it would be great when these questions come out to explain what they are or give a link.

I don't watch my lists, I'm careful as to who I allow to add me as a contact..
I put my contacts and Q&A list on private a while ago. I was being cyber stalked by a couple nutcases (trolls?).
Once I went to private, my questions weren't deleted or reported near as much. Made my life easier, but now I can't share my history with the general public anymore.

That's a good tip, but like Beautiful Mind, I check them out before I accept. Haven't had any problems.

ABSOLUTELY - I receive e-mail notifications for EVERY TIME someone adds me as a contact. I go check out their Q&A and their friends list. And if we have NOTHING in common or if something smells fishy, they get the ghostbusters BLOCKED sign. (per my profile message)
It's sad that it had to get this serious up in here..

I dont mind the trolls. They make me laugh with their rude q&A"s.I have a few in my fans section. Most of them appear to have been deleted.Either way theres not really a point in monitoring it.All they have to do is add one of your questions to their "watchlist" and its pretty much the same.
