Yes, as long as it is a long formal gown. The Marine Ball is very formal and dignified event. Your man will be in his dress blues and you want to compliment him.

I would say it will be beautiful next to your man in blue and gold. As long as it is sophisticated sexy, not just sexy. Ignore the man with the comment of what underneath that counts. He is just making an immature comment that should be giving little thought.
Is this your first marines ball? Make sure and shut your cell phone off and bring a small purse with necessities in it (gloss, tide to go pen, Kleenex, and any personals) Good luck and have fun, I know that I did.

My sister actually won best dressed at her marine ball and she wore her prom dress thats how formal it was
hers was like a bright blue kinda dress long but then it was kinda short too

as long as it's formal ..... the marine corps ball is a very formal event and the dress should be classy.

Absolutely. Especially if it is low cut. We Marines care very little for a woman's clothing. It's what is underneath that counts.
