My nausea is so bad that I can't hardly eat anything I try to eat as much as I can, but I only eat 1 meal a day. I've lost abt 20 lbs. & I sometimes throw up if I force myself to eat. Is it ok though that I don't eat. I'm taking folic acid and a prenatel vitamin. So that should help w/ providing noutrishin for my baby. Right? Is it ok that I'm not eating? And when will all this nausea go away?

Honestly..I was getting sick from my vitamins..If you eat absorbing foods like breads, grains stuff that will help to absorb the vitamins into your system. Vitamins do not absorb as well in your body if taken without food. And taking your vitamins on an empty stomach could make the nausea even worse. If you throw up within a few hours of taking them too you are most likely losing some of the nutrients that they provide to you and baby. I am not recommending this at all..but I stopped taking my prenatal vitamin and just ate more nutritiously and I stopped getting so sick. The vitamins were making me sicker than I should have been. So instead of getting sick from my vitamin and not eating properly ..I was able to at least eat and not feel so sick or throw up so much from the vitamins. I think you are better off eating healthier foods than depriving your body and baby of the calories and fat that is needed to grow correctly. But I would definitely talk to your Dr. about this. Sometimes they have better things that you can do..but I am sure your baby will be just fine..and usually in the 3rd or 4th month the nausea stops or subsides quite a bit so at least you are almost at that point...GOOD LUCK!

Everyone is different!!!!! My mom didn't eat a thing with any of us until her 7th month, all 5 of my sisters were over 8 pounds and I was 11 pounds! But, you should tell you doctor at your next visit, she might be able to give you something for nausea. As long as you are not puking up the prenatal and folic acid then yes your baby is getting some good source of vitamins. I lost about 12 pounds until my nausea went about at about 18 weeks. You should see your doctor and tell them your issues, because she is the only one that can give you the absolute best advice for YOU.

rather spiced nutrients is okay as long as you are able to cope with it. fairly anybody nutritionist while your pregnant it particularly is fairly stressful actually. i'm confident this us a snack and your no longer residing off of those issues. in simple terms be sure you're ingesting nicely and ingesting multiple fluids. i'm 28 weeks and that i nonetheless consume roasted jalapenos packed with cream cheese and wrapped in turkey Sir Francis Bacon on any very very nearly customary foundation. amniotic fluid does not mimic the flavour of what you're ingesting till 26-27 weeks or perhaps then the flavour is so diluted it may no longer be as rather spiced for the child as that's for you. in case you do get heartburn shop tums available, in spite of the shown fact that i'm getting heartburn/indigestion from acidic ingredients like tomatoes or greasy nutrients yet i will consume an entire plate of jalapenos and nit be effected. So rather spiced nutrients might nicely be a undemanding instigator of heartburn yet isn't one hundred% continuously the wrongdoer. So in case you do get heartburn it does not thoroughly mean your takis n warm fries are out :)

NO, it's really not ok that you can't keep food down. You should go see your doctor ASAP, and see if you can't get a perscription for something to help with the nausea since it's so severe. Usually it dies down at 3 months or so, but unfortunately, some women are sick for their entire pregnancy. Try some crackers first thing in the morning and see if that doesn't help.

Try to get it in wherever you can...this happens more often than you think. My sister can only barely choke down the most bland food when she's in her first trimester...it does happen.

If you can drink something, try getting in one of those Carnation Instant Breakfasts, or failing that, even just some milk.

You're almost at the end of your first trimester...the nausea should start easing up soon, but everyone is different.

Have you told your doctor how much trouble you are having? He/she may be able to help out.

You should try to eat something. Vitamins do not contain calories, which you need. Eat things with little flavor that are bland. That was the only way I could keep things down. I ate a lot of pb&j's.

You need to eat something. Ensure makes a liquid drink especially for pregnant women. I actually received a sample of it, and a couple of the snack bars from my OB/GYN. I didn't care for them, but some women like them. You can find them in any drug or grocery store where slim-fast or where the baby products are.

You should be OK, but here is a website to help with your morning sickness. http://www.morningsicknesshelp.com/morning-sickness-cure.html
It usually won't last too much longer, but some women have it throughout the pregnancy. If it doesn't seem to end for you, talk to your doctor about getting a medication to help with it, if you want.
Good luck and gratz on your pregnancy (even if you are miserable ATM)

no, you still need to be eating
eat crackers, bread, anything....
talk to your doctor about the anti-nausea medicine....20lbs to lose is WAY too much..

The nausea should subside soon, but it may not...
