I just found out that i am 6 weeks pregnant:) Lately,i can't seem to lay on my stomach when i sleep which is the only wayi used to be able to sleep. now, after 10 minutes i'm all uncomfortable and have to roll on my side. Is it safe to lay on your stomach during pregnancy?

yes, its safe..that baby is tucked away safe and tight..plus its very small right now :)

Always sleep how you are comfortable..remember that after a few months you wont be able to sleep on your stomach or back or side very comfortably!!

I lay on my stomach all the time even during my three pregnancies. It certainly didn't affect me or my babies (I carry very small though and usually only look about 5 months at full term) I even had the nurses wondering how I could sleep that way after the births. All were c sections and the scar is from the navel downwards!
If you feel uncomfortable it could be partly psychological (you think it's wrong) or it could be just your bodies way of saying it doesn't like it at the moment! Depending how big you get will determine which position you find most comfortable but nature will protect the baby and you move constantly even during sleep!

Unless your doctor tells you otherwise, I would try and keep laying on your side. Only because i'm 16weeks and I love laying on my stomach, but what can you do if the baby doesn't like it? I got a body pillow during my first pregnancy and let me tell you what, it's a miracle. Investing on two, one for each side was definatly what I would reccomend! It helps prop your leg up and you feel totally in control of yourself then. Plus the comfortable settings make you feel more relaxed at night! Good Luck!

Mosy people don't believe it but, I'm 37 1/2 weeks and still do. I just pull one leg to the side... I asked my doctor about it and he said if I was comfortable it was fine because the baby was protected by all the fluid, but laying on your back passed about 4 or 5 months can cause intestinal problems.

you should be fine until you get bigger and your not gonna want too. i sometimes wake up and im in between laying on my stomach a side, i have to sleep flat thats always been my thing. im 4 months and it doesnt bother me just yet it shouldnt hurt nor bother you at 6 weeks. get as much rest as you can cuz when you get bigger sleep my be the last thing you get.

Yes, as long as you are comfortable, go for it. Around 5 months, it just won't be possible to get comfy on your tummy. I would advise buying a body pillow once you are further along to help you sleep.

Sleep in the position that works for you right now. If you are like me, you will not stay that way long. Once you stomach gets big. it will be harder to find a position that works.

during the first 3 months, it's safe. Afterwards, it's not advised, because then you're putting your full weight on the baby (!!). As you get bigger (about 6 months), it'll be downright impossible to lay on your stomach, so enjoy it while you can.

My doctor said sleep however you feel comfortable. Anyway you sleep will not harm your baby. However, when you get bigger, of course you won't be able to sleep on your stomach because it wouldn't be very comfortable!
