I like the first poster voted for Bush twice. The first time I was happy to do so and the second time I did it because there was no way I wanted to live in a country run by that fool John Kerry. I give Bush a 55% approval rating. He has failed on immigration and has increased domestic spending excessively thinking it would gain liberal supporters but they still stab the knife in his back at every turn so that was a failed idea. He gets high marks for being willing to take on terrorism unlike the guy before who ignored it for eight yrs just to avoid low approval ratings. That isnt to say I agree 100% with how the battle is being fought but that is more the left wing haters fault than Bush

Mixed feelings. I think he's actually trying to protect the United States - you know, homeland security - more than Kerry indicated that Kerry would have if he was elected. But I don't think that Bush knows how to run a successful economy. His father didn't either, and that's why he was only a one term President. If you read your history, it was a horrible recession under the 1st Bush that got President Clinton elected.

Given the horse the Democrats inserted into the race...YES.

Bush may be unpopular now with certain segments of the population, most who were unable to vote the first time he was elected, but history will judge him favorably.

Bush has shown that he is willing to make the tough and unpopular decisions he believes are necessary in the best interest of the country.

It's nice to have someone in the Oval Office who doesn't have to wait for the poll data to act.

Given the choice between Bushs' stupidity and John Kerrys' insanity I would say, yes I'm glad he got reelected. But that's kind of like saying "I'm glad only HALF my leg got blown off".

I wish we had better quality to choose from amongst our Presidential candidates- I think we do this time around- except Hillary.

No, he didn't do anything the first 4 years, and the 2nd 4 years is a repeat of the first four years .

yes, because we now have two conservative judges on the supreme court. Bush may or may not be an idiot, but on the other hand, Kerry for the first time did not win an election by being the other option candidate. We could have done a lot worse.

Oh, and Steve C, Hillary only believes that she should be president. She will say and do anything to get there and then do whatever she pleases once elected. She only cares about herself. Look what she has done for NY...nothing!!! I hate Chuck Schumer, but at least he does care about NY and pushes legislation for his home state. After seeing both of them rolling their eyes during President Bush's speech immediately following 9/11 (on national tv mind you), I know exactly how much hillary cares about NY and the country.

I can't imagine the mess John Kerry would have made. He was completely under qualified. He has been a spectacular underachiever in the Senate for over 22 years. Since losing the election, he has maintained his perfect record of not getting passed a single piece of major legislation that he has written/co-written. I don't regret for one moment that Bush beat Kerry.

America deserves what it gets. And stupidity is what it got. Real reflection of the population I'd say.
