I think the Indians should have been there and won it in 2007. I think if they can pull themselves together again, it may be possible in 2008. It would be a tough road but the Indians were the only team to give Boston problems in the playoffs and almost pulled off a huge upset. Yea - I think my Indians could possibly do it.

Ricky, I don't know.
I grew up in St. Louis, am still a die-hard fan (I love my XM!!!), but I wonder if they have the juice.
The division, maybe. It isn't getting any better, that's for sure. But the team is aging and a noticeable lack of production from everyone . . .
Who knows? Maybe LaRussa can pull off a miracle or two and get things moving.
Personally, I think they should go after a big name bat and a big name pitcher and buy the damned series like the Yankees or Red Sox. Put another superstart bat with King Albert and you have two-thirds of a lineup of killers. Grab up a quality pitcher (even Maddux) and watch what happens.

Hey I like you already. A St. Louis Cardinal fan! I'm with you on that. I'd love to see them win the WS. Preferably doing as well as the yankees and Red Sox usually do during their regular season. But every team has the same chance so we'll see. I'm SOOO excited!
Edit: But of course, Cardinals need to pick up some good pitchers, and their current pitchers need to pick up their performance and we're good to go. :)

im an angels fan, and yeah i do think they have a very legit chance, assuming the get arod or cabrera to add a little potency to the lineup
few teams can pitch with the angels, and the lineup is still very good, the running game is great, i think with one more piece added the angels could be in the playoffs every year for a long time to come, and probably win a few titles to boot

Although thoroughly impressed with the Sox '07 run- it won't happen in '08. I think if the Rockies add some more punch into their lineup to aid Helton, get some more quality starts from their pitcher, and get a little more mature, they will have a chance.

Well I thought the Tigers could in 07. But all the injuries and stuff (as much as i that excuse). But i think its true. When you got guys like Shef, Maggs, Rogers, Zumaya, Pudge, Guillen and Granderson, how can you not win a WS?
I think the Tigers can pull it in 08.

My Red Sox have a great chance at repeating this performance. Especially since their division got weaker when the Yankees lost a certain 3rd baseman who hit 54 Home Runs and drove in 156 runs, a great manager and most of his coaches, and 1 HOF (for sure) pitcher and 1 that could arguably be there. Sox in '08!!!
