Since selectors wanted seperate captain for test series, Kumble is the best choice as he is not only most experienced plahyer, but also calm and cool customer, has no ego or attitude problem and most popular among the players.

Why not . it is really a good choice because he is also like Dravid . Dravid is a tremendous batsman than tendulkar. Same type kumble is also tremendous spinner and took highest wickets in indian record. Very confident nowadays in batting. I think his batting is far better when compare to Sewagh. He took good trainning from dravid also. so by seeing all this above conditions i am fully satisfied the selection of captency. but i had a doubt how other players are going to co-operate for him. if not he should take a stubern steps to bring all the youngsters even in test match also. Any how it is a good selection from our seniors in board of cricket india.

Kumble will be a good captain. It is a decent choice. The reason is that he has captained for KARNATAKA Ranji team!

yes - he is. Can Dhoni be burdened with wicketkeeping , batting and captaincy so quickly ? Test match captaincy is different from ODI or T20
He is a great thinker and will certainly do well. And most importantly it is good for the team. Whenever a batsman becomes a captain their individual performance drops - check dada, sachin's and dravid's record as captain and non captian - you will know.

I think is good for it but Kumble is not bad choice .He is Experienced bowler.
