I think this would depend on your parents and if they think you are mature enough to stay at home by yourself? I would say between 9 and 12?

No offense meant at all; but I'm going to assume YOU aren't the Parent.

I don't live in LA; but also want to assume LAWS don't strictly govern this issue. More important; especially if you are a minor; might be YOU OUT ALONE?

As a parent myself, and hopefully others who are might agree, it is an individual situation; given the person left at home; alone; how responsible they are; the reasons why they are left alone at home; perhaps even their agenda for wanting to be left at home alone.

Obvious factors might include working parents; a need to leave a child/minor; alone to run to a market? Etc.

More obvious might be the maturity level of a minor and what is expected of them when being left?

I would say it depends on how mature you are. I know a 18 year old that I wouldn't want out of my sight.
