Now when you use sex to induce labor does it usually brake your water? And this might sound odd but do you have to walk around afterward or elevate your hips in some way for the semen to take effect? Thanks for all the answers!!

No sex should not brake your water. It is the hormone contained in the sperm that can help induce labour/contractions - but for some people it does not work. The baby will come when it is ready!

Semen is a natural prostaglandin. It helps soften the cervix and get it ready for labor. No, it will not break your bag. Also, when you have an orgasm, it contracts your whole uterus. You don't have to elevate your hips afterward. But, a lot of walking really helps. The rocking back and forth helps the baby's head settle down in your hips.

NOW HAVEING SEX DOES NOT ALWAYS HELP YOU GO INTO LABOR WHEN I HAD MY FIRST SON WE HAD SEX AND ABOUT 6 HOURS LATER I STARTED HAVING CONTRACTIONS AND WITH MY DAUGHTER I LIVED IN NY SO I WALKED UP AND DOWN THE MONTALK LIGHT HOUSE AND THAT DIDNT EVEN WORK WITH MY SON I WAS 2 WEEKS EARLY AND WITH MY DAUGHTER I WAS 4 WEEKS LATE.

Didn't work for me...we were freaky up till the day before they induced. My baby was ready, I was ready, but my body just wouldn't cooperate.
