The first 15 days after the end of the World Series are the filing period for the players. Once that's over, the market opens.
WS finale == Oct. 28
Day 1 == Oct. 29
...
Day 15 == Nov. 12
Market open == Nov. 13, next Tuesday
Teams can negotiate with their own free agents -- witness Schilling, already signed -- but otherwise, gotta wait until Tuesday.
