well i never thought it was a good thing for the memory stick.. but for work reasons.. i started leaving it on for days and weeks constantly using it on a minutely basis.. i even started leaving my ipod on too.. well i havent encountered any problems.

i would not reccomend it. my flash drive starts getting hot after a while somthing inside might melt. it doesnt have a fan like your computer does.
