When I bought this computer I thought I wouldn't have problems because of the amd 64 processor... I was under the impression that it was more for entertainment.. When I have more than 3 windows open, Itunes, a simple game, and firefox, my music becomes staticy and doesnt play in tune... sometimes every minute my computer freezes for like 10 seconds and then stops.. it keeps doing this... also my burner stopped working... The cd opener thing keeps opening at random times and I have NOOo clue why it does that, I have over 80% of my gigabytes left... i practically dont have anything on my computer... sooo im asking you guys before i take it in to best buy

Ok first off, you may have bugs in it, if it has an anti virus software already installed, make sure it is up to date and have it scan for any bugs, next you will need NoAdware to get rid of those spyware. Once you have done that, next go to My Computer, right click on the C disc and have that disc cleaned of unecessary files, this would done best in safe mode. Then while in safe mode, click on defrag and defrag the files.

This is definatley a Ram issue. Right Click on my computer and click on propeties. You will see at the bottom of the page how much memory is installed.

2 GIGs would be great but you need at least 1 Gig.
If this does not make sense then call the people you purchased the laptop from and find out what memory is in the unit and add to the existing to clear up your laitency issues.

Good Luck

try this is you like.
laptops have a mouse pad and a driver called synapsis
this driver tends to run up cpu time and could be the issue. try and remove the driver you should find it in the add/remove programs. the mouse pad will work fine without the driver.

I would simply take it back and let Best Buy deal with it, or just replace it. They will handle this very appropriately.
Why waste your time. Get what you paid for!
