If he has nothing to hide, why is he reluctant to let the PJ know anything at all about the 14 messages that were sent the night Maddie mysteriously vanished?

And please don't give me any rubbish about "he has a right to his privacy" or "they're just trying to set him up", if he were truly innocent, there would be nothing to hide and he would clear himself of any suspicion by just volunteering the information.

sorry I don't have a link, but basicly 14 messages were sent from Gerry's phone that night. The police want to know more about them, but team McCann have convinced the judge to not let them.

Anchor, fine, an average of 10 a day, he sent 14, that means he is already over the average. Lets see now, you realise that "they have" (whoever they are) taken you daughter, so do you a/ send a few text messages to your mate to catch up and have a chat? or do you b/ look for your daughter? seems Gerry picked the first one

toi, I have to admit, as much as I completely disagree with your opinion, I have to admire your ability to see the absolute best in people despite certain....lets say....inconsistencies.

they say that people are being nasty to them with all these allegations but surely they are casting suspicion on themselves by not cooperating and allowing records to be released for investigation?

their own behaviour has brought all this on, from the minute theyleft her alone till now, they have only themselves to blame.

With reference to the 14 calls being over the average of 10 means that it is an AVERAGE. Not that he never made over 10 calls except for that one time. He could have made 18 one day and 2 the next day and the average would be 10.

Also, Kate spent 11 hrs one day and the good part of another day being interviewed by the PJ. How many hours does it take to answer their questions? I think I would do exactly the same thing that she did. If they didn't get enough information out of me in that length of time for a crime that I'm not involved in, why should I self put myself through that again?

Grumples, please read the article from the link you posted. The McCanns have not been asked to provide the phone records.

►QUOTE: "Requests for the McCanns’ mobile phone records are among a series of letters of appeal drawn up by the Portuguese police.

But the public prosecutor Jose Magalhaese Meneses has refused to give his approval for the letters to be sent to British authorities until he sees stronger evidence against the couple." ◄

~ And furthermore, the media, as usual contradicts itself because the opening sentence says:
►QUOTE: "Detectives are reportedly investigating a series of text messages sent and received by Gerry McCann on the night his daughter disappeared." ◄

HOW CAN THEY INVESTIGATE SOMETHING THEY DO NOT HAVE?
They ASKED for the records but I don't blame the McCanns for not turning them over after all the twisted things the police have done with their every move and word. I wouldn't trust them. The McCanns KNOW there is nothing in those text messages that will help find Maddy so they are not wasting their time AND THE INVESTIGATORS time by playing this game with them.

See how vicious rumors start?

i assume it relies upon on your interpretation of what overlook is. i do no longer think of the youngsters have been neglected. and that i do no longer think of that what they did grew to become into so undesirable. Sorry, yet definitely a lot of human beings do precisely the comparable ingredient. they are only fortunate sufficient to no longer be targetted by making use of a paedophile. And returned, I save remembering the little lady in her tub. Her mom grew to become into interior the kitchen, while somene walked into the domicile, lifted the baby and went out. the actual culprits listed right here are no longer the McCanns, it is the guy who took the baby. Is it healthy to stay in the form of state of worry that we are finding over our shoulders each and all of the time? The crime is extremely unusual - very few babies are stolen by making use of strangers. i does no longer anticipate somebody to creep into my domicile and scouse borrow my slumbering baby, the two. And sure, i could have left the doors open too. because of the fact the phobia of fireplace could situation me extra suitable than the phobia of paedophiles. And sure, we are continuously being instructed how plenty Europeans love their babies and how secure it is for babies. So I too, could in all likelihood have been lulled right into a feeling of fake protection. The McCanns are clever people who does no longer divulge their babies to threat. They concept their babies have been secure - they weren't.

May be he was texting relatives. Maybe he was having an affair, it is up to the police to prove guilt not the other way around.

Innocent until proven guilty is the rule of law.

Lets face it the average person in the UK uses text messages all the time. 300 text in one month = an average of 10 a day.

I may be wrong here but, I seem to remember the same article saying the texts were sent before their daughter went missing and the Judge decided that they where of no relevance to the case.

You have a one track mind and nithing anyone can put on here will change your views, so why bother asking?

It actually states 14 txt messages were exchanged!
That doesn`t mean he txt all 14?
He`s a proffessional and the amount of calls he gets will be high because of his job, holiday or no holiday.
I know this from the amount of calls my husband gets from his work.
When or if you ever get so high up in your career you will understand.
You make no mention of the guy named Robert who is still a suspect 6 months after maddie went. They will not release any of his items either. Why don`t you suspect him also and make your point valid?
You have already found the parents guilty so let that make you happy.
I`m just glad you`re not a judge!

I don't know, but you would've thought that if they were totally innocent he would let the police know.

He might just have 'another woman' or a boyfriend he doesn't want the wife to know about? But it does look a little suspicious.

p.s. I'd never even heard about these texts before you mentioned them.

The same thing could be said about the questions Kate and Gerry refused to answer. Why? If my child were missing I would be telling them everything they needed/wanted to know.

Svengali Gerry seems to have plenty to hide. He is more interested in covering his back and making as much money as he can than actually looking for his daughter.
