The boy, from Birkenhead, has also been charged with robbing Mr Croft.

God Bless Stephen Croft, poor fella.

Can I just add before I dash off for my meeting....Not all kids coming off of Council or Social housing estates are bad. It's not fair to keep tarring them with the same brush.

Storm. The man in michigan was a sexual preditor, this guy was completely innocent and my point is, a 13 year old child committed the crime. A baby.

This is terrible, you really have to wonder what made a 13 year old do this, I wonder what te events leading up to it were, my heart goes out to Stephens family and also to the family of the little boy who did it!
Well said for saying stop always blaming the council estates.

i agree this is an absolutely awful thing to happen, but already the stereotypes are coming out.
We do not know anything about any of the people involved. You cannot say that this child was brought up on a council estate and therefore that is the reason he is bad. I was brought up on a council estate and i am degree educated, i don't have a criminal record and i am certainly not a chav. I live on a mixed estate now( private/council), my daughter is not a chav and does not go round killing people because she lives on a council estate.
Views like that can also damage already vulnerable children.
The child who did this needs to be punished, and his parents also need to be held accountable. Something has very clearly gone wrong somewhere in his life to make him think he can do something like this.
I hope that he can be rehabilitated, one life has already been lost( RIP Stephen) lets hope another one isn't.

Until the Politicians & Judiciary get their 'Arris' in gear, it will only get worse.

A total ban on games that depict violence is required.

Schools need to teach the Sanctity of Life.

Parents need to face prison in cases such as this.

Newspapers need to stop using trendy terms such as ''Happy Slapping'' and ''Joy Riding''.

The Gent who was killed possibly went to Remonstrate about the Kids behaviour; because we all have to hold back from these horrors in the street the Kids have the advantage.

If the little scrote had had a punch in the mouth in the past then this may not have happened.

I believe a curfew should be in force throughout Britain; no kids on the street after 21.00.

The Police can then just lift them, and the Parents instructed to collect them from the holding facility. The Parents can then be charged a fee for lodging and Police costs.

None of the above will happen, and the scrotes will get off with some barmy punishment.

There has to be a reason for so many children becoming involved in serious crime. Firstly the intent has to be there and secondly, the "courage" has to be there to carry out the crime.
A child, as this boy is, living on a diet of junk foods and additives, fuelled by alcohol and or drugs is a recipe for disaster. Add to this the "gangster culture" that so many children associate with these days and we are on a downward fast falling ride to hell.
I firmly believe that this boy was poisoned, both physically and socially. So many youths are now roaming the streets looking to comit serious crime AND are prepared to pay the consequences, looking at their punishment, if caught, as an occupational hazzard.

I`m a youth worker like Stephen Crofts mum.
She will be well aware of the problems we have with youth today.
But could never imagine this done to her son.

We have to get harsh.
We have to stop being so soft.
We have to have parenting classes for everyone.
We have to give the police back their authority. They should be allowed to give them a clip round the ear without the parents trying to sue.
We have to be stricter in schools.
We have got to be able to smack our children. Not beat up. Just good old fashioned putting them right.

There is so much out there for kids these days, I think it`s too much.
We have given them more say.
We have allowed them to speak up for themselves.
We have given them total freedom.

We must bring them back into line.
To respect their elders and realise that the older generation are wiser. They need to listen. As do some of the parents.

My heart goes out to Stephens poor family.
May he rest in peace.

"The Lord hath need of them;" That was what Jesus said when he instruct his student to rob a colt from an ordinary man. (Matt. Gospel chapter 21)

Unfortunately, when that boy was robbing Mr Croft, Mr Croft was against him. Then, he may be accidentally killed him. Manslaughter I was the result.

Ok, at 13 every child knows the difference between right and wrong! The only thing is that many kids act first and then think later! This is a terrible thing that has happened!
I really feel for his family!

You gave the answer your self . children need more time in family structure and not in so much friend structure. and need God in there lives . im almost certain his family was not around when this happened . lets me know children are given to much freedom and not enough guidance.prayer without sesing for this is Gods will in our lives . parents take your children under your control because things like this should not be happening to the man who lost his life and the 13 yr old who has done this. my prayers to both families .
