Bevel means to cut the edge off of something, like the edge of a piece of wood or molding. It can be done to all sorts of materials including metals.

Bevel means to cut the sharp corner off the edge of a piece of material. If you do a double bevel on a board, for example, the edge would be a wedge shape.

are you talking about beveling wood or about a Bezel on a car. a bezel on a car can be many things, a Headlight bezel is a ring that goes around the headlight.
