Why is it that when someone has an oppinion against Immigration they are automatically branded a racist?
All over the place Whole housing estates are being built with the intention of housing Immigrants only! Is England in danger of becoming a shanty town?
Am I the only one who is finding that this is getting seriously out of control? What happened to our rights as British citizens? Why are the great British public standing for it??

Serious question, honest views please.

Immigration is acknowledged to be seriously out of control. The trouble is the gov. is now dithering once again because they dont know what to do about the mess they have got us into - so they will just hope it goes away. They are taking our greenbelt to accomodate some of the houses needed but I dont hear much about more schools more doctors dentists etc etc, in fact schools are being closed!

I resent the fact our once beautiful country is turning into a concrete jungle. Pretty soon there will be no open spaces left to go. Nowhere to relax and take in nature. I think the reason we are having so much flooding is due to too much concrete being laid , the surface water has to go somewhere!

I personally do not hate immigrants, and if they were still coming in a manageable quantity, would have no problem. The way it is now will simply fan the flames of racism and cause division among all of us.

It is getting ridiculous that we cannot even voice our own opinion without being branded a racist. It is getting completely out of control but no-one really seems to care about our rights anymore. People are coming into the country without being able to speak two words of english expecting housing, jobs, benefits and they get it. British citizens are waiting on council lists for years to get housing. I dont care if people think I am racist, because I am not, I am simply extremely disappointed in the fact these people can just troop in and get whatever they want at the taxpayers expense a lot of the time.

I agree that immigration should be halted unless the person is highly skilled and has a job that was not fillable by someone here. The government need to catch up with organising a orderly system of processing any immigrants into this country. Currently there is no trustworthy statistic of how many are in this country, how many are claiming benefits, and how many cannot speak english and therefore cannot get a job.

Its utterly ridiculous and will cause serious problems for this country long term if its allowed to continue.

Actually, the situation is getting so bad that soon there will be shanty towns in some UK cities as the pressure on accommodation is so acute. This is quite normal in the third world where people are flocking from the countryside to the city. But in the so say fifth richest country in the world is that really acceptable ? Knowing our politicians they would probably represent it as further evidence of our 'thriving and vibrant' economy !!

Isn't immigration supposed to be about integration ?? it seems it is more like segregation ... it is unbelievable that you get housing estates with the intention of housing immigrants.. and it is a wonder why people are becoming racist..??? I lived in lem spa for a while, worked in coventry and it was unbelievable the ratio of 'white's' to 'coloureds' and when you walk down the road in ENGLAND and you hear ALL foreign languages it's surreal, and it is sad... If we allow all these people in they need to agree to integrate ..or leave..

I agree with you 110%. Its outrageous! I know people who have lost jobs to immigrants willing to work for less money, I know people who have been on a waiting list for housing years only to loose out to immigrants who have been here all of 5 minuets, I know people who have been waiting to be seen at hospital for hours only to have an Immigrant who has just wondered in sent to the head of the que......I could go on. I dont give a crap wether people think Im racist. All those of you that turn a blind eye and stick up for them, its because of you nothing gets done!

eriverpipe - 1 more thumbs down for you!

PC has become a gag on free speech. I agree with your views, our country is being swamped and the consequences of this have not been thought through by our short sighted and, well, stupid, government. We are second class country, soon to become third class. I don't blame the poles or Africans for wanting to come here and make more money. Our success will be our dowfall. It has already started. We need to follow Italy's example with their expulsion of the Romanians. But the human rights act and the bastards in Brussels will veto that. We are stuffed.

1) This is the way the Government suppresses opposition to it's open borders policy 2) We are sadly all aware of the willingness of councils to house immigrants in social housing 3) Yes, what are we going to do to stop it? 4) No, there are many indigenous English people who feel as you do 5) our rights as British citizens have been diminished (see answer 1) in favour of more PC laws in favour of immigrants 6) What choice do we have until election time? Are you willing to organise a coup and overthrow this traitorous Government? Did you vote Labour? Anyone who did should hang their head in shame.

I think the issue is not just about immigration, its about what different nationalities do when in our country. Ie: when in Rome do as the Romans. I don't see a lot of that happening. I also get sick of the rather large chip people have on their shoulder when they don't get what they want, we are then racist. I have not a racist bone in my body but people use it to gain priority. One day WE will be screaming racism because of this in our own country!

seeing as in Leicester people of white british descent are a minority i think yes that immigration has got out of hand. how long before white british people as a whole are the minority in their own country? i also dont give a toss if people think i am racist we are all entitled to an opinion and free speech. there are far more racist people amongst the ethnic (supposed minority) than they let on.
