Do you believe that corruption in public places is worst in India overshadowing the great developments along?

According to the survey by Transparency International more than Rs. 28000 crores(30 billion) per year is given as bribe in the public offices in India at a time when nearly 28% of its people go to bed on empty stomach and another 52% of people's daily income is less than a dollar ( Rs 40+). On the other side, India has made rapid stride in Science and Technology, has one of the best talent in the world in Information Technology and has achieved 9+ growth rate with a very impressive Forex reserve.Don't you think that if only the Corruption is less the achievement would be far greater and long sustaining?

It is fact. For corruption in public place all we are responsible. We are habituated in this corrupt culture due to poverty, illiteracy. Don't worry it will increase and very soon India will take FIRST position in the world corruption list.

indian economy is built on corruption . In absence of corruption in Adminstrative ranks there would have no development . every law was made to stiffle development.
Adminstrative structure in moulded on 16 th century where king should be source of political, economic and social power . 98 % of wealth of state should be at the command of rulers and adminstrative discretion vested with bureaucrats/satraps

Since POWER in INDIA is on the hand of central govt which is mostly ruled by congress; cogress personnel can give the better answer.

2)----EDUCATION for capable (not based on cast or creed)

5)----SOCIALISM ( people think together, feel for other)

6)----MORAL education for child / police / politicians

7)----PATRIOTISM "SELF IS OVIOUS, BUT COUNTRY FIRST"

8)----COST OF LIVING ie Non and Consumable GOODS.

9)----FAIRNESS of ELECTION, selection of TOP Jobs.

10)--Fainess in all OFFICE like "JUSTICE FOR GOD or BAD, Opportunuty based on CAPABILITY not POLITICs".

i agree fully and wish to add - it's not in public places but in private houses where corruption is worshipped. we need no TI to know the dreaded cancer around. the moot question is how to operate and uproot this cancer.
