I don't get it either. I've known horrible people who passed away and nobody remembered what terrible things that person did to them when they were alive. Maybe it's because people don't want bad things said about THEM when they're gone, although not being nasty when they're alive would be a good start!

Cause when someone dies they can´t hurt/touch/influence anyone. They are "safe" so whatever you say won´t hurt you. Plus if there´s an afterlife, who knows they might hear you and "think" that you are a nice person! lol
