delete files in ubuntu?

i have installed ubuntu but i cant be able to delete some files i had created in windows.
how can i do this ??

Linux uses "permissions" to protect files from unauthorized activities. They're the text strings that look like "drwxrwxrwx" you see when you use the "ls" command.

In Ubuntu, open a Console (F2), then type: man permissions

You should get the Manual pages which describe the whole procedure.
