A pound is an enormous amount of potassium cyanide. I think it would be enough to kill several hundred people. If you find anyone willing to sell it to you, report them to the police.
By my quick mental arithmetic, a pound is about 8 moles, or enough to complex 4 moles (almost 500 g) Ag. That's an enormous amount of electroplating!

have you tried ordering some off the internet, depending on the chemical it is sometimes possible. however, potassium cyanide doesn't sound to safe so you may not be able to just buy it. i'm not sure
