I was thinking about being A country music writer.
But then I would have kill myself. I don't like Country that much,
so that's out So what do you think???

Don't like it. As country as I get is Whipping Post by The Allman Bros., that's about it.

Good morning. I was raised on Country music and could listen to nothing else. I like it. There are songs and artists that I do not like.
Not all the songs are depressing songs. Some make me yawn. There are good country songs that make you feel good.
I listen more to Christian radio stations now. I have listen to light rock and do like some of that. There are bits of every music that are good and some are not so good.
You could make your own country music and tell your own story. It doesn't have to be sad or depressing. Do what you would like and what is in your heart. Best wishes to you.

Just write a song that illustrates the story of your life or an experience. And then you can figure out what genre sounds better when its sang. Just make it in to a metal song which is what kind of music I listen to.

I love it not so much the newer stuff, although there is some i like, but I really like the older classic country, as my guy says{ he doesn't like the old stuff} the cry in your beer kind! lol yep it is, and at times i do, but all in all, it put's me in a good mood! and it's great romantic slow dancing music! I say give it a try.

well if you don't like it you won't be good at it so find something you like. I don't like the whining crying in my beer sappy country. I like country rock, that has a beat with attitude. Like " I'm from the country and I like it that way" song. Good Luck
