Dang, on the one hand people believe the government is incompetent and cannot cover up even the slightest misdeed, yet on the other people can believe in a perfect hoax perpetrated by that very same government. The inconsistency astounds me.

Have you ever watched any old movies from before star wars came out? The special effects were ludicrous. There is no way that anyone at the time could have faked the landings in any even remotely credible manner.

I suppose there were people in the 1500's that believed none of the explorers had sailed to a new land or around the world too, but that didn't make it any less true.

Sometimes I despair for humanity because of the prevalence of ignorance and superstition.

What, really, is so difficult to believe. Seriously. It isn't like going to pluto after all. And if it was never done, why hasn't anyone gone there since now that the technologies are so much better? Space aliens living on the other side that told us to STAY AWAY??

Someone has set out to deceive you in the hope of making money.

This hoax is utterly typical of a US phenomenon. It ignores the fact that there is a "rest of the world" and the fact that the "rest of the world" is not actually all living in mud huts and going about in grass skirts. The plain fact is that if the Apollo missions had been faked, scientists and engineers outside the USA who did not give a tinker's damn for the USA (and might have actively disliked it) would have shouted "fake" immediately, way back in 1969.

Believe it or not, the "rest of the world" then had functional telescopes, functional binoculars, functional radio receivers and functional radar systems which were all perfectly capable of detecting the Apollo spacecraft as it orbited the Earth before setting off. Some of the radar and radio systems could have tracked the craft at least part of the way to the Moon.

The radio receivers could have detected at least the general direction of transmissions from the Moon. British radio engineers have been able to do this since before the First World War, it is not difficult. If the signals did not come from at least the general direction of the Moon, thousands of radio amateurs and professionals around the world would have seen it at once.

Anyone who says the Moon landings were a hoax is either a fool or a fraud. The time for argument is long past, it is time for telling the truth. This fraud is perpetrated by certain people, notably a former television type person in the knowledge that it is a money maker for him. He may even believe it.

Every shred of so called evidence advanced by these frauds has been refuted so many times that it can only be called lies. However they keep repeating this "evidence" as there is always a new audience of the ignorant. There truly is a sucker born every minute.

In one case the fraudsters have been caught altering the sound tracks of digital versions of Apollo mission footage. So not only do they deliberately misinterpret existing facts, they manufacture faked evidence. In this they are one step ahead of creationists who mostly only lie about the existing facts.

he really did.

The kind of arguments brought in against it are telling. For example it is said that the photographs should show stars. No it shouldn't, the daytime shutterspeed required for correct exposure of the subjects would be way to fast to record stars.

Arguments like these just show you how uninformed the detractors are. I am not American, I have absolutely no patriotic bias in wanting it to be true. But bullshit (like saying the whole thing was fake) should be exposed for what it is. Do you really think that somebody that does not know the first thing about photography would suddenly see things that the technically adept but anti-American Russians would have missed at the time?

The existence of the loch ness Monster is much more debatable than the moon landing.

Yawn! Not this one again. Of course he did. Do not listen to the conspiracy theories - they are a load of baloney. The evidence for the landings on the moon is overwhelming, not least the fact that the Russians never claimed that it was a hoax. There's also the fact that the astronauts left reflective devices on the moon which are used regularly by scientists on earth shining laser beams at them.

Thank you for the weekly "moonshot was a hoax!" Post. Nice to know the moonbats are alive and breeding.

Yes, man went to the moon. The flag was bing held by a rod to hold it out straight. The secondary light was sunlight reflecting off the white suit of the astrononaut taking the picture.

Yes, he really did, as did eleven other men. This is a matter of historical fact, supported by thousands of photographs, hours of video, 800 kg. of Moon rocks, and millions of witnesses, including myself. Do you disbelieve everything which happened before you were born? That's a pretty crummy way to live.

If he didn't, as a 7 year old I wasted loads of nights watching it then. Course he did.
Marilyn Monroe died of a drugs overdose, Elvis is dead, Diana's crash was just a crash, and GW Bush Jnr got elected into the White House fairly.
