Not necessarily. Depends on whether we keep our population in check and our science keeps increasing food production. There has been this kind of scare about 'running out of food' ever since Malthus made this theory. But so far, science has been able to increase food production enough, so that despite a world population of about 7 billion, there is no global food shortage. What happens 10 years from now depends on our population growth rate, rate of increasing agricultural production, and barring any cataclysmic problem affecting our food supply (widespread drought, pests, plant disease, etc.)

They (just WHO are they anyway) have been saying that since the 60's I hear. Back then they said it would be due to overpopulation. Nowadays they blame it on the green house effect, pollution, 3rd World countries & anything else that is politically motivated.
I suppose it could happen, but I don't think it will in our lifetime
Sure we're running out of resources, but they ( darn it..there THEY are again!) will always find a way to fix that problem now, won't THEY?

Well, if the global population continues to expand, and if governments are paying farmers to clear farmland for rape seed and bio-diesel plants, I guess we'll all be starving soon...

that's not goin to be possible.
i mean, how are the children now are goin to survive in 10 years to come? how are we, if we lived 10 more years, are going to survive?

no matter what the statement is, the world is going to make it. *winks*
