Everybody has the right to drive no matter how old (or young) they are. I do think that possibly a test should be given every 5 years or so to make sure the person is still able. There are some 35 year olds out there that shouldn't be allowed to drive.

Yeah, they should be allowed to drive if they got a license.

Thing is, in my opinion, they should make road tests mandatory every 1 or 2 years. I've seen some elderly, who could barely even turn the steering wheel, driving around and causing a mess. They go too slow, or they keep going out of their lane, and their response times are pretty slow.

That's only some of them though, I've seen some other elderly who drive better than me, LOL. So, yeah, I think they should be allowed to drive if they're able to pass the road test. But that'd only work if they made road tests mandatory every year or two.

People capable of safely operating a vehicle who have a license and insurance should be allowed to drive.

Others should not.

Old/young, pensioners/nonpensioners, male/female and chinese/not-chinese are all moot differentiations.

To specifically address what I believe was the spirit of your question, despite it's wording, the ability of older people to safely operate a vehicle should be more-closely monitored.

being as we have the technology with virtual reality. they should devise a road test and check for braking reactions, hearing sirens,, parking, driving on a highway situation, it would be so much safer, than having them on the road for a test, also, after a certain age they should not be allowed to renew their license without this test, no mail ins every 3 years

Old people must be allowed to drive until they are physically and mentally fit to drive.

i think that old ppl should retake their tests at a certain age , around 60, honestly the amount of accidents I've nearly had involving old ppl is scary , lets face it as you age your mental health deteriorates , deafness , blindness, etc. some of them are a hazard to be around and why the hell do they all drive at 20mph for gods sake?

yea i dont see why not.providing they can see.It tends to be the drivers under 25 that are involved in more acciedents. Many older ppl rely on thier cars,as its the only way they can get out of the house.
