I am 6 months pregnant, and I am still very small according to everyone. Even my OB says I am not gaining enough weight. But I feel like all I do is eat and sleep.. I eat a lot of fruit and veggies though. And my OB doesn't seem to give me any idea of what to do or if this is serious.. I have no idea what I should do. I am naturally a small girl. I am only 5 foot, 110lbs before pregnancy. I am now around 116-120 or a little more... Any ideas ??

I had problems gaining weight during my first pregnancy also. The doctor recommended that I drink a can of Ensure each day for the extra calories. I didn't care for the flavors of it so I drank Carnation instant breakfast instead (doctor said that was another choice). Make sure you don't get the extra calories through junk food (empty calories). Keep eating a healthy diet. Good luck!

Hi, do not worry about it! I was in the same situation. At six month my belly did not even look big and people did not know I was pregnant. At that point I only gained 10 lbs.
Then the the seventh month came along and it all changed so fast. The weight just piled on and my belly popped out in one week! Now I really look and feel pregnant.

If it is your first pregnancy, you are doing very well! Just trust your body, it knows what to do!

I gained approximately 25 lbs with my first 2 pregnancies. real now i'm 34 weeks and have gained a entire of ten lbs (were 11, yet I lost one). All my medical expert did substitute into to envision if the toddler substitute right into a sturdy length and that i had adequate amniotic fluid in me. because the two have been a confident the medical expert pronounced there substitute into not something to agonize approximately.

you still have time yet to gain weight and if baby is measuring well on ultrasound then I wouldn't be worried. If you are small you may only be having a small baby. 10 pounds is an okay amount to have gained and in the next three months you will notice weight gain of about 10pds again.

don't worry, if baby is fine then all is okay. My SIL only gained 10 pounds with her third baby and he was 8pd10oz!!! so she was all baby, no fat to lose afterward!!

best of luck and congrats!

I think its OK not to gain a lot before 8th month, just find out if the baby is fine then you don't have to worry, mostly women gain on the end of pregnancy (from my own experience)

unless your doctor is worried i would try not to panic - i am 22 weeks pregnant and i am 5'10 weighed 140lbs and i now weigh 148lbs - i have a big bump but thats all i have carryin all 8lbs at the front - the baby is measuring fine and my midwife said not to worry about how much weight you gain aslong as baby is healthy and measuring its not an issue - my friend is 26 weeks and has already put on 20lbs!! i guess everyone is different - good luck babe xx

don't worry in the last month or so you'll start packin on the pounds and then you'll wish you never gained any weight at all,lol
i am 21 weeks pregnant and at first i gained 20Lbs in the first 3 months and then lost that plus some and haven't gained a pound since. Everyone i different, but you prolly will gain weight in your last month.
