Before I had my son (8months ago) I never had this. I stoped breastfeeding when he was a week old and a month later I got small pimples on my areolas that puss when I pop them. Its like a whitehead on your nose or forehead.

They could just be Montgomery glands, which are sebaceous glands (oil glands) on the breasts near the nipple. They are common, especially in women who've been pregnant or who start the pill.

The secretions could actually just be oil secretions that are being forced out when you squeeze them. These glands are not painful and shouldn't do anything if you leave them alone (won't come to a head, etc.) I'd recommend seeing what happens if you quit "popping" them and determine if they are indeed just normal glands that are more prominent and noticeable due to your recent pregnancy.

If they are painful and become a problem, I'd recommend seeing your physician about your concerns.

They are tiny glands and are totally normal. Most women have them, some more pronounced than others. Stop popping them. It isn't puss, it's thick oils.

get it checked. Puss from anywhere is definately not a good thing, especially your breasts.

Maybe you should use a bodywash for acne... it might clear it away.
