This is all a load of rubbish.
I don't know Heather Mills and she may be a really nice person, but it seems to me she's not doing herself any favours in the way she's presenting her case. She seems to want a lot of publicity but only if it makes her look good. That's a normal human reaction but it's childish.
The press is reacting to it in different ways - the gutter press that only does celebrity stories because it can't handle real news is going crazy, the better papers are a lot quieter.
If you really must read this kind of thing and get excited about it, you're supporting the worst excesses of the press.
Two people we don't know are getting divorced. They're probably both making mistakes because that's what people do when they're hurt. They have a little girl who doesn't need all this.
We should all stay out of it and then maybe the people who sell newspapers wouldn't think they could make money by feeding our curiosity.

She hasn't done anything that affects my life. I neither love nor hate her. I don't know her. I don't feel she should be ridiculed for her disability, if she is being.
From what I have seen of her on the television, I don't find her particularly appealing. I don't know what she wants from the world. I believe she has been offered a large amount of money and don't understand why she doesn't just accept it and get on with her life. Why wage war with the press, she won't win.
As for Paul, he does have appeal, particularly to those in their sixties. They remember him as the gorgeous young man he was. He keeps his own counsel today and retains his dignity. I think he did what a lot of older men do when they are bereaved and aware of their own ageing, married a young woman to make him feel younger himself. It is usually a mistake and to have another child an even bigger mistake. Let him live with his mistakes and get on with his life too.

It's the same old story with most public hate figures. The general public seem to be so thick that they believe anything the tabloids say. She may be a little odd but so is that freak McCartney, he's notoriously mean and bad tempered, I think she deserves a medal for sticking with him for as long as she did.
But the press chose to be on his side cos he's a 'Beatle'. If the press had slagged him off instead all the sheep head public would have been on Heather's side, but the press conveniently cover up the stories of McCartney slapping Linda about and instead choose to vilify a woman whose greatest crime is endless charity work.
EDIT : In response to scruffycat's ridiculous comparison with jeffrey dahmer........ yes but she isn't a mass murderer is she??
And saying 'it would have been nice if she'd really loved him' How the hell does anyone on here know if she loved him or not? we have no idea what happened in that marriage so why anyone thinks they have the right to jump to such conclusions is beyond me... it never ceases to amaze me how many people have such mean-spirited souls.

Only the press hate her, that's only because they think everyone else does, but as usual they get it wrong, like we give a sh*t what Heather Mills or Pete docherty or any other bloody so-called celebrity does in their spare time. most people have got their own sh*t to deal with without worrying what a bunch of overpaid morons get up to.

Probably because Paul McCartney was so beloved... especially since he was so in love with his wife, Linda, for so so many years and then had to go through the heartbreak of watching her die of cancer.
Then along comes Ms. Mills and marries him for what? A year? And then breaks his heart all over again... and did she get that bundle of money from him? I dunno, makes her seem a bit like a gold-digger.
I don't think it's her disability that people find worth ridiculing as much as it is her dispicable behavior... her disability is just fodder for the ridicule.
**EDIT**
"What about her charity work?"
If you were to find out that Jeffrey Dahmer had been a very charitable person, would you think more highly of him - despite the fact that he killed and ate lots of people over a number of years???
I'm sure she has been a very charitable person. That's nice. It would have been nicer if she REALLY loved the man she married and wasn't trying so hard to bring him down and also get whatever large amount of cash off of him that she can. She's crossed a line. She "used" to be a charitable person. Maybe, in her deluded mind, she thought that marrying Paul would mean millions for her charities. BUT THAT'S NOT WHY YOU MARRY A PERSON.
Her history of charitable work will look good someday in a bio about her life... but the book or blurb will end with how she was AFTER she was a charitable person.

She's a greedy, self righteous up her own backside gold digger!
I can't find one redeeming feature in Heather Mills...worse mistake Paul McCartney ever made.....marrying her!
She wants to get in the real world and stop using her daughter as an excuse for more money.......and NO she hasn't done anything in particular to to affect my personal life...but i cannot tolerate that level of greed....especially when she had nothing in the first place!
Single mothers cope and struggle financially everyday with more than one child.....and probably don't moan half as much as her!
We know Paul McCartney has money..and we know he can probably afford to pay her double and treble the amount she's been offered..but that's not the issue for me.....its her loud and uncompromising behaviour in full view of everyone, acting like a spoiled little child...its time she grew up and got rid of that unsightly chip she has on her shoulder!
And i hope she reads THIS!

Her crime is trying to walk off with a huge chunk of someone else's hard earned money. She married Paul for only a few years and did nothing to help him earn it. . She is a bad example to her daughter and to other young woman. She can go and earn her own money, Paul did. She and others like her should stop being such leeches .

she used the media to her advantage when it suited her and now she's publicly having a go at them. This is something that someone in the limelight should never do at the media if you want a peaceful life as they lose all respect. Not saying it's right but it's kind of an unwritten rule. If you don't want them to get involved then you shouldn't 'court' them.
she is asking for many many millions of pounds from paul mccartney for only 4 years of marriage and is reportedly said to be very deluded as a person and a bit of a liar. Paul mccartney is said to have found this out once they married.
She uses her disability to get sympathy from the public.
I've never heard of anyone ridiculing her for her disability, she seems to do it all herself.

It's probably because she's milking it for all she's worth, not only belittling PMcC all the time whenever she's had a chance but gold-digging to the absolute extreme with the result that even her legal rep has walked out on her because she's broken so many of her "promises" - so she deserves all she gets, and money-wise, the way she's going, the final settlement will be just one penny ! ! !
