i have the choice between two computer processers, AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 dual-core processor 4600+ or Intel® Core™2 Duo desktop processor E4300; Intel® Viiv™ technology, which is better?

E4300 is slightly better BUT AWESOME when overclocked.

intel processor, if its a dual processor its better means you have a faster computer, amd is ok but i found it can be a bit of a drag just make sure you have a good speed of ram to go with it if its on vista (which i wouldnt recommend) than get over 3gb of ram if its on xp get over 1gb maybe 2gb or put in the max ram either way so its fast

Both have similar performance. Whichever is cheaper,buy that one.

If you want power saving, go for AMD.

If you are into overclocking, go for the Intel one.

INTEL - on a mother board with Intel chip set.
