Yes, elephants can swim. Their large body provide an ability to float while moving their four legs. They can completely submerge down the water and use their trunks like a snorkel. They are pretty good untiring swimmers and can swim from island to island.

hey there ...yes they can swim and they are great swimmers..in one area they are used to carry logs while crossing the river and with their handler on their back..
