so i was talking to my friend on the phone and she was asking me questions about urine. she has apparently been expierencing a weird tingly sensation right when she is almost finished urinating. she said her pee is a little cloudyish looking and it has a bad odor. i asked her if it smelled fishy or what it smelled like and she said its not fishy at all its just a weird smell like an old persons urine but i dont know what old person urine smells like. i dont know what to tel her except go to the doctor and she cant get an appt there till next week sometime because they are full. does anyone know what i can tell this chick or have any advice on what to do tills he gets to the doctor? im clueless on what else to tell her but i would like to help her out. thanks

It is an infection, not that serious but can become so. Citro Soda will help with the pain, but normally the best is antibioltics. And you can only get those from the Dr. I have it often and it can be cause by manny things, often its loo paper or even they way she wipes. Soap can also cause it. But ecoli is the amin problem and there are different strains spo again, only the dr can tell you which one and how to treat it. In the mean time she should drink cranberry juice, or just lots of warm water..

If it is a urinery tract infection (which it certainly sounds like) a natural way of dealing with it is
Have the juice of half a lemon in a warm glass of water. Do this half an hour after your meals (so at least 3 times a day) everyday until you get to a doctor.
It worked for me & I didn't have to take antibiotics in the end. Drink lots of water fluids (not sugary ones tho) to flush your system. Go to the docs still to get checked out even if you feel better as there could be something else going on.

She must insist that the doctor see her now. She could have a bladder infection which needs treatment before it gets out of hand. She must stick up for herself here by telling the people in the doctor's office that she is having painful urination and that her urine has a foul odor and is cloudy.
In the meantime she should make sure that she is drinking enough water and other non-alcoholic fluids.

Urinary tract infection.
Cranberry juice is the only type of over-the-counter thing, but that is just relief, not a cure. They also sell capsule of cranberry or raspberry, in the vitamin section.
She'll need Macrobid or metronidazole, and those are prescriptions. It's an infection so it probably won't go away on its own. When she gets the meds she is supposed to take all of them, even if she feels better before they are all gone, because the infection is still there even when the pain is gone.

Could very well be a urinary tract infection. The only way to tell is to get a urinalysis, then a culture and sensitivity done. Some vitamins and certain pills will also change the color of urine, but ussually will not make it cloudy.

Ignore the stupid, negative comments.
Your friend has a Urinary Tract Infection.
She really needs to see a doctor, but in the mean time she can get some fizzy granules from the pharmacy for this condition.
It is called by different trade names in different countries, but if she explains her self to the chemist, he will give her the right medication

She has a bladder infection.
By next week it will be a full blown kidney infection.
If she has insurance she should go to the emergency room for antibiotics instead of waiting to go to her primary care physician.
She must take care of it before it gets out of hand. Letting it go another week will be MISERABLE for her and make her very very sick!
Make sure she drinks lots of water til she can see a doctor. Even drinking a beer can help ease a bladder infection til you get to the doctor.
Cheers

She needs to see the doctor to find out if this is an infection. Have her call back to let them know that she's experiencing tingly sensations too. This may help her get in sooner.

Tell her to drink a lot of fluids. There isn't a lot she can do to change her urine until she can get in to see the Dr. And believe me..I work in a nursing home so I defiantly know what an old persons urine smells like and that doesn't mean that its anything to worry about. Good luck, and remember....lots of fluids!

i have experienced almost the same as that (2 yrs ago) i went to a doctor, had my urine examined. it was UTI ( urinary tract infection) i was advised to take cotrimoxazole one tablet bedtime for a week ) after that, i havent experienced it again. it was not only tingly sensation, but there was blood in my urine also. the best thing is to consult a doc, coz it's not good to take medicines especially antibiotics without his advise.
