Hi TaMeishia O,
That’s is the beauty of Blair,
Gays love him- Catholic ‘Church’ loves him
Americans like him- continental Europeans like him.
Blair Government takes more freedoms away than any other post way Government- supposed freedom loving Workers Unions support him.
I'll admit it's all a bit of a mystery to me.
Madness.
maybe he is the Anti-Christ. (joke)

Hi harryd,
There is a:
President of the Commission: a President of the European Parliament, the current President is Hans-Gert Pöttering: and a President-in-Office of the European Council .
However, it is as an informal term used for these three posts and a theoretical position under the Reform Treaty. At present, there is no single President of the European Union.
There has always been consensus among the EU leaders to create a single ‘proper’ President rather than these ‘puppet’ presidents. It has been negotiated much more openly and on a more regular basis these last few years.

OUT OF EUROPE!

If the idiots at number 10 are so desperate to sell us to the Eurocrats then I hope we Welsh get our independence. We have suffered too long from their mismanagement.

The only reason the European leaders want Blair, is that he Blair is such an idiot, and he will be like putty in the hands of the French and Germans. Someone gave him the job as Peace Envoy in the Middle East, it was him and his playmates who caused the wars, with myths of weapons of mass destruction Of course Blairs smiling, he caused lots of problems in this country, with his lies, (sorry spin). and walks into a highly paid job. and his wife goes around the USA making £1000s giving lectures

I don't think it will happen during our lifetime. It took them more than 6 decades to form a union. Now how long will it take before they can agree to have a President?

In your dreams. No one likes him.
Vaclav Havel would have a chance,
but the EU will be no political unit soon.
They will start with a mutual Foreign Minister.

I thought the anti-war Europeans hated him for supporting the U.S. in Iraq.

You may have missed it, but the EU has had a President for several years. He's a Portuguese named Barroso.
