if the child is old enough to state a valid preference, the court will take it into consideration

The child's wishes are now taken into account when courts and social workers make their decision.
Children will be placed with a responsible family member if possible. in preference to fostercare.
It all depends on the circumstances.

best to ask cjild services or a social worker... but the child should have options.
