It seems like the past week or so I have becoming feeling really bad in the mornings. I work at night, so when I am at home, on off days, I stay up at night and sleep during the day. I usually go to bed as the sun comes up. I've been off the past few days, and I have just really been feeling down in the dumps, nothing will ever get better type of mood. Is this normal?

all i can say is that because your body not use to sleeping in the day time or it will take times and days until it get use to, i remember when i got a second job at night, my first night was 8 hour but add to the other 8hour i was working 16 hours a day so of 24 hours i was sleeping about 3 to 4 hours daily so the first week i was tried and though i was dying and i feel like zombie walking all day but eventually my body and mind got use to it so now i don't have problem it it. so your problem i think is that your body need to adjust its time so like you said on the weekend or your day off, try and sleep more than 10 hours a day and you will see the different that's how i do it. other than that if i didn't work out, i will say you should check with your doctor asap about this problem because may be you are suffering from sleep disorder. so if this did work out, see your doctor asap. good luck and god bless.

I know exactly how you feel..........I haven't been able to sleep the past few wks either. I've been goin to bed about an 1 hr before it's time to get my kids ready for school. I feel for you I really do.....maybe b/c of you working normally at night when you are at home on off days it feels like you should be up instead of sleeping. I hope everything goes better for you if not maybe you should visit the Dr. Good luck!!!

It’s the saddest thing that we ever read make us stop and sing about the saddest thing.

Likes others comments about lack of sunshine. Maybe you could take vacation somewhere sunny and hot and laze in the sun for a bit. Vitamin D might help too.

yes, I forget what they call it. You can buy lamps that simulate sunlight and they say they make you feel better. I have worked nights for several years now and I feel like what you are describing sometimes. Just try to make most of daylight hours you are up. It gets harder with the time change for me but I adjust my sleeping schedule some.

If this is not your normal shift, I'd have to guess it is your body trying to adapt to a new schedule. If you snore, though, you should seriously consider having a sleep study done to see if you have any sleep disorders, which can lead to the symptoms you describe.

I'm not a doctor, but I did sleep in a Holiday Inn Express once....

It is completely normal.
Never sleep in a well lit room.
Never wake in a completely dark room.

If you wake up feeling bad without having dreams, you might just have a problem.

yes but chk to see if there is someting you actually don't like. like your present job, way of life, eating, etc.
but don't take it too hard, try to have some fun (i.e doing what you like doing....).

Don't be sad....
Have a nice Day
